Youth Work

The Youth Work vocational certificate (YWC) is for people who work with young people and want to be better equipt. YWC introduces the student to basic principles and ministry skills related to youth ministry. The student will gain a basic understanding of the development stages of young people, as well as certain ministry principles and skills.

This vocational certificate comprises of 4 modules:

  • Module 1: Philosophy of youth work, and a biblical and historical survey
  • Module 2: Understanding young people in their phases of development
  • Module 3: Church and youth ministry
  • Module 4: Methods in youth ministry

Study fees for 2024

R 540.00 per module x 4 modules = R 2 160.00

A handling and dispatching fee for books and study material is payable if you do not collect your material from ATS. The amount will depend on how many study manuals are to be posted. Estimated R200.


Note: Vocational Certificates are self-enrichment, in-house programmes to assist those involved in ministry. There are no minimum admission requirements. They are non-registered, non-credit bearing and non-credit RPL (recognition of prior learning) may apply.
