About ATS

Auckland Park Theological Seminary (“ATS”, for short) is the oldest Pentecostal and charismatic theological seminary in Africa. The seminary is an academic institution and has been engaged in theological training and education for the past 60 years.

ATS is aimed at achieving the highest levels of distinction in the gathering and dissemination of information pertaining to the proliferation of Christianity. ATS distinguishes itself in its dedication to undergraduate teaching within the African context, ensuring that students in all walks of life and from diverse academic backgrounds can all be accommodated successfully.

The conflict of the eschatological times revolves around two fundamental truths underpinning the Christian faith, namely that

• Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He had a virgin birth and that He was resurrected from the dead, and that
• the Bible is the authoritative Word of God.

The assault on these two pivotal Christian principles is especially prevalent within the academic world. ATS, however, is convinced that academic integrity can be achieved while still being true to the Bible. As a result, all programmes on offer at ATS are Christ-centred and Bible-based.
